Today on 5th day of my MATLAB Training Program 2011, I have finished the basics of MATLAB and started programming in more deep. The programs which implemented till 4th day were sequential in which each line was executing one after another so we can say that we don’t have any control on the flow of program. Therefore today I focused on the control statements to control the flow of programming. With the help of control statement we can execute a part of program or we can repeat the execution of a particular part of program many times. The control statement are of basically two types viz. Branches and Loops. With the help of branching construct we can execute a part of program on the basis of the fulfillment of given condition. The branching construct basically used in MATLAB are: If construct, switch construct and try/catch construct.A loop can execute a part of program many times depends on the type of loop. In MATLAB we also used for and while loops as we used in C/C++.
